However, with a few simple measures, you can help yourself and possibly delay such intervention.
Pain can be categorised as acute or chronic, acute being of recent onset and chronic being longer term. The most important thing is to address the acute pain before it becomes chronic.
If you are already suffering from back pain, you should be aware that the historic advice of resting is no longer recommended. You should attempt to carry on with your normal activities, including going back to work!
